The best way to share photos is to upload them on a web site. Unfortunately, the process can be slow if the images are too large. Furthermore, you may not possess the knowledge to create web albums. With STGThumb, all you have to do is load your pictures or videos and select a few options. The software will turn multiple images into thumbnails, resize them, or create HTML albums. Thanks to its features, advanced knowledge is not a requirement.

Downloading and installing the software is not difficult. The installation file is 4.38 Mb large and the setup wizard will take you through a series of basic steps. After selecting a destination folder, you will just have to wait a few seconds until the installation process is complete.

You can load images, videos or both. The software's options are displayed on the left side of its interface, while loaded files are listed on the right. Apart from selecting what type of files to load and browsing for a folder, there are two main groups of options. The first set can be used to set a new size for the pictures, rename them, using a suffix and a prefix or copy the original files to the destination folder and resize them. You can place a watermark as well. Its text can be typed on a separate window, where you will also find options for changing the font settings, adding the watermark to your thumbnails or the copied images or selecting a position.

The second options group will help you create an HTML album. You may select one of four album styles, choose to generate an HTML slideshow or use a flux slider. It is possible to bring up additional options, on a tabbed window, after clicking a small button. You will be able to name the album, select a background color, image or gradient, specify the location of your pictures, make adjustments to your slideshow and much more.

STGThumb makes it possible to merge images as well. The picture merger can be accessed by selecting an option in the Tools menu. You will have to select two images and the software will overlap them. Additionally, you can change the transparency level for one of the images and preview the result on the same window.
